In my own studio in Tours, in Indre-et-Loire (37000), France. 1h10 from Paris by TGV. It is the region of the Loire Valley Castles and good wine!

€310 per person for the weekend (2.5 days).
The price includes the hours of workshop and basic materials (paper, pastels).
Accommodation and meals are not included and are independent of the workshop.

The workshop is open to all adults, from beginners to advanced in drawing. The group is limited to 10 people to facilitate our exchanges and create a good understanding.
WEEKEND SCHEDULE

DAY 1
In the workshop (10am-6pm)
Introduction to the wax pastel technique: inspirations and presentation of the medium
Graphic research
Lunch break (free)
Still life drawing exercises in the studio
DAY 2
Outside (10am-6pm)
Meet at the studio at 10am: choice of materials for the day
Departure for the botanical garden of Tours (5 minutes walking distance from the studio)
Introduction to the day and drawing demonstration
Drawing exercises from nature
Lunch break (free)
Independent drawing in the garden with my advices
DAY 3
At the workshop (10am-12am)
Presentation and exhibition of each person's work around a cup of coffee
Last discussions and goodbyes… (if you need to leave before 12am, just tell me)
SUPPLIES
What is provided :
Different mixed media papers
Wax pastels
Basic materials: scissors, erasers, pencils, pencil sharpeners, etc.
What to bring :
A sketchbook of the brand and size of your choice (easily transportable). I advise you to choose a notebook without spirals and with the finest possible grain of paper, that is to say the smoothest paper. It makes all the difference !
Any artistic technique that you would like to use. Please choose techniques that are not bulky and not messy.
A pencil case or box to carry the different tools.
Clothing suitable for drawing outdoors.
Please personnalize all the supplies your bring (especially pastels, if you bring some).
THE STUDIO
The studio is located by walking distance from the city center of Tours (20 min). You can also get there by public transport (15 min from the train station by bus). If you’re coming by car, there is a few spots around the studio to park quite easily. The address will be sent to you upon registration.
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
Cancellation is possible up to 1 month before the workshop, after this deadline, no payment will be refunded.
After registration, a document containing all the necessary information will be sent to you.
